Kevin Hassett of Bloomberg has deftly explained how this mega mortgage mess can be pinned on the economic policies of the Democrats. Essentially, the economic break down began with the sub-prime lending of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, and when the warning signs arose, Democrats blocked all efforts to fix the problems. McCain and the Republicans need to make hay about this quick to shift the poll-changing momentum away from Obama.
